Instructions
- Prepare Starter: Feed your starter 4–12 hours before baking.
- Make Dough: Mix starter, water, honey, and salt. Add flour and knead for 3–6 minutes.
- First Rise: Let dough ferment for 8–12 hours.
- Shape Bagels: Divide into 6 pieces, roll into balls, and create a hole in the center.
- Boil Bagels: Boil in water for 2 minutes per side (add baking soda for extra chew).
- Bake: Bake at 425°F (400°F for lower altitudes) for 15–25 minutes until golden brown.
