- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- ½ tsp orange extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare two 9-inch cake pans.
- Whisk together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt).
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs, orange juice, zest, and vanilla.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients and divide the batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, then cool completely.
- Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually, followed by orange juice and extract.
- Assemble the cake by layering and frosting the cake, decorating as desired.
