  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • ½ tsp orange extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Whisk together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt).
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs, orange juice, zest, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients and divide the batter into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, then cool completely.
  6. Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually, followed by orange juice and extract.
