Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp salt & black pepper
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella, optional)
½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ Brown the beef & onions in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
3️⃣ Add garlic, diced tomatoes, and spices, letting it simmer for 5 minutes.
4️⃣ Layer half the chopped cabbage in the baking dish, then spread half the beef mixture over it.
5️⃣ Repeat with the remaining cabbage & beef mixture.
6️⃣ Cover and bake for 30 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
7️⃣ Remove from oven, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 10 more minutes.
8️⃣ Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
